Question on using Routing List in "FileDocworksTranscription

Question on using Routing List in "FileDocworksTranscription

Postby skaufman » Tue Apr 16, 2013 12:50 pm

Can someone tell me how the routing list in FileDocworksTranscription works in the EHR? I see in the documentation the format is U:xxx or T:xxx where 'U' is for User and 'T' is for Team. I sent up some testing example to use "T:hospERrev" . I also created a Team with the code of "hospERrev". However when I file a test document through it is not creating a task under the patients active tasks. Am I missing something or is there no task created and the notification works differently?

Thanks.....

You have the syntax correct. The first thing I would check is to make sure the Owner of the document is setup for Electronic Workflow. You don't need to worry about this if you send the Review Document task to a team, but in the example you gave you are creating the Verify Document task for the team.

The second thing I would try is adding a preceding pipe to the RoutingList (ie. "|T:hospERrev"). This will attempt to generate a Review Document task for the team, rather than a Verify Document task. Reading through the FileDocWorksTranscription SP, I think that you can create Verify Document tasks for a team, but try this to confirm if it works.

Thanks,

Thanks. None of the documentation I have states the difference between the format "|T:hospERrev") and "T:hospERrev"). I will try both ways. What the physicians actually want is for us to pull in these Hospital ER Notes and send a task to the Staff and NOT the provider. They don't want these tasks showing anywhere for the provider to see.

The RoutingList element is a pipe-delimited list of users or teams that will be tasked. The user/team that appears before the first pipe (first position) will receive a Verify Document task, and every user/team specified in the second position and beyond will receive a Review Document task. By setting the RoutingList value to "|T:hospERrev" you are telling the import to NOT create a Verify Document task, but do create a Review Document task for the hospERrev team.
