Inbound Orders Interface

Inbound Orders Interface

Postby mawirt » Thu Apr 26, 2012 9:39 am

I set up an interface to receive ORM messages and mapped that to a File Order sp to file into the database, below is the end result. I followed the specs given to me by allscripts but they are fairly vague and don't have a lot of troubleshooting information for this particular type of interface. The most obvious issue I see is that the word Order from the message name is replacing the first field. I've tried leaving it blank, putting a zero/blank, and hardcoding the word NotReq non of which helped. I also went line by line in the File Order message and the sp in the database to see if I had any fields mapped with the wrong type of data and that was not the case either. Any insight would be much appreciated.

File (Order 'NotReq','C','0','448064',0,'19671103','','TEST','MATT','0','TW129141830',0,0,'0','0','0','0','20120424 14:15','0','0','0',0,'176','C','NW','N','CT0001','C','NGMC','N','0','','CT0001^CT ABD W/O^^^^','N','0','','0','','0','','','0','0','2560606','0',0,'N','0','','0','','0','','20120424 14:15','0','','0','','0','','TW129141830')

Error occurred while filing (dDirect returned -1).<10>
SQL State: 22005<10>
Native Error 0<10>
Error Message: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid character value for cast specification

Hi,

Is this a new odbc connection by any chance? The only time I have seen something like this is when translation boxes are left checked for a connection to Works.

I found out the issue it had to do with naming the sp wrong. For some reason I am getting a 'Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage' error message when trying to do the file, load from, stored procedure method when creating new messages. Have you ever seen that issue before?

Unfortunately, I have not. I have actually never had to use the load from method. If you have not already broke down and built the FileOrder message definition manually I can most likely send you one in a zip file. Just shoot me an email at ryan.hunt@galenhealthcare.com if you still need it. Thanks.
